D.I.Y. - Part - Full Livery
We are by the very nature of our site name a D.I.Y. yard. However, if during holidays or weekends away, we can accommodate by prior arrangement, part or full livery (Charges would be applicable), so you'll never feel you can't have time to yourself. As things work at our yard, everyone mucks in & covers for each other. It's all about assisting each other & putting the horses first. No yard 'Politics or Gossip' exists or will be tolerated. We all have one aim at Muirtack & that's to make your time here pleasurable / enjoyable & a place you want to attend.
Nothing is a problem, we just communicate.
We can offer permanent part livery or full livery if that proves to be more suitable to the client.
Location
The yard is set in a quiet rural location of Muirtack (Auchleuchries). Yet only minutes away from Ellon, Mintlaw, Stuartfield, Peterhead & other surrounding areas.
On your horse from the yard, there are numerous places to go for a hack. The choice is yours, whether it just be along the quiet countryside roads, or go off several accessible tracks leading to pastures allowing you to stretch out your horse from trot or into full gallop.

If your on D.I.Y, it is expected that you attend to your horse(s), by being at the yard sharp to feed, muck out, re-net , fresh water etc.
I would expect this done prior to 09:00. (During the Winter months)
Returning to the yard in the early afternoon / evening to attend to your horse(s). ( During the Winter months)
During the summer, horses can remain in the paddocks 24/7. It is the owners responsibility, to ensure that the paddocks are 'poo-picked' & that there is a plentiful supply of water provided.
All the horses are health checked daily & last thing at night. There is always someone present at the yard.
We also have a closed group page, so that you get regular updates about your horse & any activities that may be happening.
We run on a month to month rolling contract, with either party being able to terminate with one full months notice.
We do not accept any neglect of horse(s), or any disruptive clientele or their associates at the yard.
We have a small friendly group of clients that come to attend to their horse(s) and are willing to help other within the yard as part of the team if required.
N.B.
Trailers & horseboxes can be stored within the locked compound allowing you go to events or day-out hacking. Short term storage is free. (Long term storage would incur a small monthly charge)
Clients must provide their own insurance, as Muirtack D.I.Y. Livery will not be held liable for any loss or damage to clients trailers, horse boxes, vehicles whilst stored within the yard.
